At 18, fashion wunderkind Alexander Wang moved to NY
to attend Parsons School of Design, and by sophomore year he was already
designing his label's first collection. Though predominantly pure in
aesthetic, the line incorporates elements of street fashion and the
imperfect, an aesthetic that won him the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund Award
in 2008. Believing that a tee and jeans can be as stylish as a silk
dress, Wang launched T Alexander Wang
in 2009, a line of slouchy-sexy tees, tanks, and jersey dresses.
